The birdies in the treetops!

Here is a little video that I took on my walk up our hill. I was listening to the birds singing and thought that you might like to hear them too! (Please don't pay any attention to my huffing and puffing as I try to climb the hill! I'm such a wimp!)

It made me think of this song that my mom used to sing to us when we were little...

The birdies in the treetops sing their song.
The angels in their chorus all day long.
The flowers in their garden, blend their hues,
So why shouldn't I, why shouldn't you,
Praise Him too?

What a great sound, you know I love the sound of the birds too! Do you have robins in Ireland? I'm waiting for the call! :) Love, Mom

Hi Melanie,

We've enjoyed the music played by the Berge Family for the last few years and have enjoyed the festival in Itasca. Thank You! You'll be missed this year, but we are very happy for you and David and your new life together.

I have a question if you have time to respond. Our family is thinking about a short term mission trip to Ireland with Ireland Outreach www.irelandoutreach.org and was wondering if you or David know anything about it or where it is located?

A few people at our church support this ministry and we were just curious. My daughter, Emily, said isn't that where Melanie Berge moved to, so I thought I would see what you knew??????

Where would be a good place to check for less expensive flights? Any comments would be appreciated:)

Blessing to you over there.
Love in Christ,
Denise Nickel

Hi Denise! I have never heard of Impact Ireland before and asked my husband about it. He hasn't either. I checked out their website and see that it is focused on the Republic (we live in Northern Ireland). I also see that the headquarters are in Dalkey (just south of Dublin). Dublin is on the east side of Ireland about halfway down. As far as flights go, I have been checking recently and Delta had some good prices. I don't usually stick with just one carrier...just find the cheapest rate through Travelocity or a similar agency. It would be fun to see you if you do end up coming! You are most welcome at our home...let us know!

We will be at the festival this year, Lord willing, so we'll see you there hopefully!

Thanks for the information, Melanie. We'll see where we go from here:)It looks like Ireland is beautiful. If we do go, we may have to get some insight into where we should go if we get a couple extra days to visit more of Ireland??????
